Dr Asra is a GMC registered doctor, founder and Clinical Lead of The Fifth Sense Clinic in Cheadle Hulme.
Dr Asra has worked in the NHS for over 18 years. As a GP her work centred on women’s health, running menopause, contraception, coil and implant clinics.
In her menopause clinics Dr Asra saw the same moment again and again. A woman would sit down and say she finally felt like herself on HRT. Her energy was back. Her sleep was better. Her mood had lifted. Then she would touch her face and say quietly that she no longer recognised the woman in the mirror.
Dryness, fine lines, sagging and volume loss told a different story from the one she felt inside. She wanted to look the way she felt.
That was when Dr Asra knew her care could go further. She trained in aesthetic medicine to help women close the gap between how they feel and how they look.
The name of the clinic grew from that belief. We experience the world through five senses. Sight, sound, smell and taste all shape how we feel. Touch is the fifth sense and the skin is where we feel it. It carries our history, our hormones and our health.
